THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE BUSINESS APPRAISAL & THE BUSINESS VALUATION .

The Business Appraisal is akin to a CPA’s “Audited Financial Statement”. All information is confirmed and verified by the Appraiser. The Appraisal Report contains significantly greater detail than the Business Valuation Report. If necessary, The Business Appraisal also prepares the appraiser to provide Expert Witness Testimony on behalf of the client. Business Appraisals are required in cases of probate, partnership disputes, minority shareholder disputes, bankruptcy proceedings and in some cases by lending institutions who require more than a Business Valuation as part of their “due diligence” lending process.


Each Client...A Unique Journey

The Business Valuation uses less formal appraisal methodology. It is similar to “compiled” financial statements. The Appraiser accepts at “face value” facts presented by the business owner. Reliance on valuation formula is greater in the Business Valuation. In most cases this valuation methodology is acceptable to both SBA and conventional lending institutions. Our Valuation Report format complies with SBA lending requirements.
